In 1900, the first film camera was purchased by Mozaffar ad-Din Shah Qajar for Iran, and immediately the first Iranian moving images were captured by this camera.These images have embodied the mesmerized gaze of people. In the span of 79 years since the purchase of this camera, Iran has undergone two revolutions and throughout all these moments, the camera has been present as the recorder of people's mesmerized gazes.

Directors
Mahshid Afzali is an Iranian multimedia artist and filmmaker, born in 1993, based in Tehran, Iran. She obtained a BFA degree in Theater/Scenic Design from the University of Tehran in 2018. During her education in theater, she developed a deep passion for installation art, video art, and photography as mediums of self-expression, creating several multimedia artworks from 2016 onwards. Her recent projects explore the themes of 'memory,' 'collective memory,' and 'archived materials' in various innovative ways.
Javad Ebrahiminejad is an Iranian multimedia artist and filmmaker, born in 1993, based in Tehran, Iran. He began his filmmaking career in 2008. Later, he pursued a BFA degree in Dramatic Literature from the University of Tehran in 2018. He created several multimedia artworks starting from 2016. Following graduation, he focused on film post-production, specializing in video editing, color grading, film and video restoration, and documentary film production.
